06/06/2006 - Walk and Photos - White Side, Lower Man, Helvellyn, Catstycam and Birkhouse Moor.

Walk first completed September 1986 - with Richard.

Coming down Swirral Edge from Helvellyn it's almost impossible not to be drawn back up again towards the summit of Catstycam. I remember, on the first occasion I was at the summit, peering over the edge just as the cloud cleared beneath me to reveal what felt like an almost vertical, dizzy descent to the valley floor.
