04/07/2008 - Walk and Photos - Grisedale Pike, Eel Crag and Sail with Paul D. Walk first completed August 1987 with Richard, George, Paul W, David and Andrew. We started from Braithwaite on a very bright and sunny day. We climbed up to Grisedale Pike and then along Hobcarton Crag to Hopegill Head before crossing over Sand Hill to Eel Crag. At this point the warm weather got the better of me and I needed a long rest while Richard went off on his own to scamper up Grasmoor. I don't know what had happened to the rest of the party at this point but I remember us all being together as we descended via Sail back down to Braithwaite. |
