17 06 04 - Yewbarrow with Paul Drury.

The day started with a heavy and prolonged downpour but although clouds lingered the whole day we got through the walk without any rain. The scramble up past Rib Bell and the scramble down to Dore Head, were both difficult enough without the added problems rain would have provided. I managed to lose a pair of reading glasses whilst negotiating Stirrup Crag on my backside. We managed to finish the walk in time to catch a couple of pints and most of the England v Switzerland game at the Strands Hotel in Nether Wasdale.
